How do the pawns move (exactly)?

You roll your die, and then move a pawn that exact amount. The full amount. The pawn can move on a straight line, or diagnolly. The pawn can also move a combination of straight and diagnol. However it can only change directions once. You cannot go straight, then diagnol, and then straight again.

The pawn can move in any direction. For e.g. (looking overhead) north, south, east or west.

E.g. a roll of 4 on your die: You can move the pawn 4 squares straight ahead, or 4 backwards, or 4 on a diagnol line. In any direction (N,S,E,W). You could also move the pawn 2 ahead, and then two to a side, or 2 ahead, and then 2 diagnol. There are other possibilities, but these should give you a good idea.

* Pawns can move through (past) pawns of the same team, but cannot move through (past) pawns of the other team. You can only go as far as the other team pawn (on that move).

How does the ball move (exactly)?

You roll your die, and then move the ball that exact amount. The full amount. The ball can move on a straight line, or diagnolly. The ball can also move a combination of straight and diagnol. However it can only change directions once. You cannot go straight, then diagnol, and then straight again.

The ball can move in any direction. For e.g. (looking overhead) north, south, east or west.

E.g. a roll of 4 on your die: You can move the ball 4 squares straight ahead, or 4 backwards, or 4 on a diagnol line. In any direction (N,S,E,W). You could also move the ball 2 ahead, and then two to a side, or 2 ahead, and then 2 diagnol. There are other possibilities, but these should give you a good idea.

* The ball cannot move back to (or through) a row or column that it has already been on. This makes the ball movement more natural. There is no strange movement of the ball.

* The ball can move through (over) pawns of either team.
